 The Indian rupee recovered most of its overnight losses and closed 31 paise higher at 61.85 against the US dollar today after a rally in local equities and fresh sales of the US currency by exporters.

The Indian rupee surrendered initial gains and fell for the second day, losing eight paise to 62.09 against the US dollar today as concerns about the US Federal Reserve tapering its stimulus programme outweighed RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan's surprise status quo decision on interest rates.

 After a brief respite, the rupee slipped below the 62 level against the dollar on Tuesday, falling 28 paise ahead of the RBI's policy review and the two-day US Federal Reserve meeting.

  The Indian rupee  slipped 29 paise to end below the 62 level against the US dolla

today as rate hike fears led stocks lower, clocking its biggest weekly loss in five.

NIFTY OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW

 Nifty slipped 13.05 points to finish at 5742 after hitting an intraday low of 5675. The RBI quarterly review did not usher in any fresh changes in either the repo rates or the CRR. However, with no indication from the central bank that the recently announced liquidity tightening measures would be withdrawn shortly and the rate cut cycle coming in after that the market tanked. ....

NIFTY OUTLOOK TODAY AND TOMORROW

That rally which nifty witnessed yesterday  is over it means that we should not look forward to another one of these moves. Market is now giving us lower levels.  Nifty started below 5700 but could not cross it rather it declined throughout the day. The  target for this decline is 5,500 it will come sooner or later This is due to the bearish formation on the end-of-day chart of the index, which indicates that we are headed for further fall. NIFTY OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW

After 9 months, RBI has finally announced a Repo cut which could be the beginning of further cuts this year. On the basis of current assessment and in line with the policy stance outlined in Section III, the Reserve Bank announces the following policy measures:RBI cuts REPO rate and CRR by both 0.25%. Market expected this and same has come just CRR is some surprise but that is not to big one. The Nifty closed at 6049.90, down 24.90 points after touching a high of 6,111.80 intra-day....

NIFTY OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW

As we have predicted yesterday nifty after starting around 5900 could not maintain the level and slip into red to make a low of 5844 today. The end-of-day price chart for the Nifty does not reflect that optimism at all. It continues to warn us that we are headed for a corrective downdraft however short lived that may be before we start going up again.
It is true that the long term trend of our market is up  however As it is, even if you see the market moving up from here, at best a 2% upswing can be seen before a serious corrective swing setting in....
