Sensex opened the week at 34157, made a high of 34524, low of 34110 and closed the week at 34415. Thus the Sensex closed the week with a gain of 230 points. At the same time, the Nifty opened the week at 10441, made a high of 10597 low of 10431 and closed the week at 10595. Thus the nifty closed the week with a gain of 100 points. Sensex and  Nifty closed higher on Friday. The NSE IT index gained about 5 per cent, with the country's top software services exporter Tata Consultancy Services Ltd marking its record closing high. The nifty ended up by 12  points or 0.2 per cent at 10,595, gaining 0.8 per cent for the week. The sensex gaining 0.6 percent for the week. Both indexes marked a fourth consecutive weekly gain.

Bank Nifty opened the week at 25098, made a high of 25448, low of 24862 and closed the week at 25050. Thus it closed the week with a loss of 169 points. As the bank nifty is managing to trade above its 22 and 55&200 days moving averages with the RSI of 52, one may expect the targets of 25200/25500 in the stock if it manages to sustain above the immediate support level of 24850/24800.

NIFTY PREDICTION & TCS UPDATE FOR 20 APRIL 2018

Market closed on bullish note.. Consolidation was witnessed in the market today. Market sentiments were optimistic ahead of quarterly earnings of some key companies, including TCS, which will release its results later in the day & also traders were cautious ahead of the release of Reserve Bank of India’s latest policy meeting minutes later in the day. The Sensex closed higher by 95 points to 34427, while the Nifty future rose 40 points close at 10579. Nifty future has started the day at 10581 made a high of 10585 and low of 10550. TCS is all set to release its March quarter earnings on Thursday. The January-March quarterly numbers for the IT pack as a whole will get better than a year ago. Depreciation of the dollar against major currencies is expected to provide cross-currency tailwind of 60-130 bps and 20-50 bps to margins.

Market ended the session in the green continuing the positive momentum built up in the previous trading session. The Sensex ended 160 points up to 34101. The Nifty gained 41 points at 10458 & banknifty ended at 25184 ahead of macro data due later in the day and Infosys earnings tomorrow on April 13, 2018.

Market closed higher for fifth consecutive session on Wednesday. The Sensex was up 60 points at 33940 and Nifty rose 15 points to 10417. Bank Nifty too closed 128 points or 0.51% lower at 25,098 level.  The Sensex resumed higher and advanced to 33981, but soon slipped on profit-taking to touch a low of 33750, before settling up 60 points, at 33940. The gauge had gained 861 points in the previous four sessions. The nifty, after moving between 10428 and 10355 on alternate bouts of selling and buying, finally concluded at 10417, up 15 points.

Bulls are back in action..!!! sensex & nifty closed higher on positive global cues as trade war tensions eased. The Sensex was up 161 points at 33788 and the Nifty rose 47 points to 10,379. Market edged higher on Monday as a bounce in US stock futures soothed sentiment even as US President Donald Trump kept up his twitter war with China over trade just a couple of days before Chinese President Xi Jinping gives a keynote speech. Back home, upcoming quarterly results season, along with the release of macroeconomic data points on industrial production (IIP) and inflation, are expected to determine the trajectory of key equity indices this week. Global cues such as concerns over trade protectionist measures between the US and China, combined with the direction of foreign fund flows and crude oil prices, will also impact investors' risk-taking appetite.
